brother united at long last... of the little

and big variety :)

Last night, the table groaned with a large, home cooked meal.   Ian savoured every bite and I savoured the familiar, comforting "noise" of a big family laughing and eating together at long last.

  2. I'm so envious of your freecycle. We aren't allow to ask for or offer food things, which includes plants and such.

How fun to have all the kids home!

  3. Aww the chick is so cute. Great blossom and fruit buds on your trees. Great shot of the ladybird and it must have been so lovely to have the family all together.

  5. It's always nice when your 'chicks' come home to roost. Mine usually order a 'steak cooked by Dad' as their homecoming meal and I do the trimmings. So nice.

  6. Thanks, guys :) Our supper was roast pork, roast beef, gravy, mashed potatoes, yorkshire pudding, 3 veg and cheese sauce. Ian's favourite! Cookies and chocolate cake for dessert!

    1. P.S. your chicken tractor looks great! We're going to need something like that soon, too! Hope you don't mind me asking, but I wondered if you followed a particular plan while building it, and if you might share some more details about it?

  8. Thank, Jaime :) My husband "just made it" he said... he did look at a few examples online, so I'll ask him which ones those were. I know that he used 2 sheets of 1/2" plywood and they determined the size of the tractor. As to the rest... I'll get back to you!
